CYBERSMART DEAL PROMO TERMS & CONDITIONS

Terms and Conditions for the “Online shop deal” valid until midnight 31 May 2025

1. This promotion is exclusive to Cybersmart customers only. 

2. If the applicant is not a Cybersmart customer, they can sign-up for any Cybersmart product and will become eligible for this promotion as soon they are registered as a customer.

3. Cybersmart has the right to amend or cancel this promotion at any time.

4. This promotion includes: 
4.1 the customer gets a new e-commerce shop website (i.e. an online shop that sells good/services) using the Shopt website platform and including the features found on the Shopt “Everyone” package as advertised by Shopt.
4.2 customer is charged R4950,00 inclusive of VAT upfront for website set up
4.3 the on-going monthly fee for this promotion is: R699.00 inclusive of VAT (R594.15 exclusive of VAT).
4.4 web hosting services on a dedicated server. A customer with an existing hosting package for a domain hosted with Cybersmart will have the existing hosting cost absorbed into the promotion monthly fee.

5. This promotion excludes:
5.1 existing monthly connectivity costs (e.g. fibre) and annual domain renewal/s
5.2 digital marketing and advertising strategy
5.3 photography
5.4 paid marketing e.g. social media boosts; google ad-words
5.5 branding and graphic design beyond what is included in the promotion
 

6. Time frame
6.1 There are an estimated 30 working days allotted to build the new website together with the Shopt support team.
6.2 The Shopt support team will make direct contact with the customer on application and create a ‘staging’ environment in which to build the new website.
6.3 The Customer must be reasonably available to attend to communications and requests from the Shopt support team.
6.4 The Customer must be able to provide the relevant content to the Shopt support team to insert into the new website.
6.4 The shopt support team will advise on design elements such as banners, colours and graphics and every attempt will be made to satisfy the customers branding & design requirements.
6.5 All content such as images, articles, text etc. should be provided by the customer to the Shopt support team either via email OR to the shared drive link provided.
6.6 The Shopt support team cannot be held responsible for any design changes and content revisions that delay or prevent the new website from going Live. 
 

7. Billing:
7.1 R4950,00 upfront fee, paid on sign-up directly to Shopt
7.2 Monthly fee is billed to the registered Cybersmart customer account and debited off the bank account associated with the registered Cybersmart customer number.
7.3 Billing starts on the 1st of the new calendar month that is more than 30 days from date of registration. With the earliest billing cycle being 1 March 2025.
7.4 Monthly billing will exclude any pro-rata rates.
7.5 Any unpaid debit orders will result in cancellation of services including this deal.
7.6 The customer remains liable for any existing monthly connectivity costs (e.g. fibre) and annual domain renewal/s which do not form part of the promotion.
 

8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Shopt owns the code that forms the structure of the content management system branded ‘shopt’ and all subsequent code packages related to it, as well as existing shopt website systems or modules that may be used within it. The customer has no right to copy/remove/re-use the code or system.
8.2 The Customer owns all materials populated into and subsequently generated onto the website as well as any proprietary product information. Materials can include: customer information; product based information including imagery; sales information and blog/news content created on the website. The customer can export this information at any time.
8.3 Cybersmart retains all the customer information and details. Payment information is stored securely and not held outside of approved payment gateways/programs.
8.4 All parties are responsible for adherence to Privacy Policies and POPIA Act.
 

9. The Customer agrees to all Cybersmart Terms and Conditions; Acceptable User Policy and the Terms of this promotion stated here.
